Whatever type of online gambling you're looking to try, it's highly likely that you'll be able to grab a generous welcome bonus to play with. More often than not, online bookies and casino sites will match (or maybe even provide you with a little extra) your initial deposit in bonus cash.
Bonuses are subject to wagering requirements, meaning that you must wager them a certain number of times over before you can withdraw them as real money, but they're still worth having. Not least because they give you the opportunity to place a few guilt-free wagers through the season while you're figuring out how to bet on the World Series!

With this being an American game, you may see moneyline odds being used on some sites where you can bet on baseball online. The basics of this are pretty simple - a £100 bet required to make £150 profit (total payout of £250) on +150 odds and £100 required to make a £50 profit (total return of £150) on odds of -200 - but there may be a point spread, i.e. a minimum amount the favourite must win by, too.
Any punters in Britain will be very glad to hear that most UK sites that offer baseball online betting will let you convert odds to the fractional format for all of the sports/events they offer. You might also encounter decimal odds (1.2, 3.6 etc.), but these are more common elsewhere in Europe than in the United Kingdom.
In fact, British online bookies tend to display fractional odds for all sports by default. Here, a bet of £1 on 5/1 odds will yield a total payout of £6 (original £1 stake + £5 profit) while £6 is needed to net a real cash payout of £8 (£2 profit plus your £6 stake) on 2/6 odds. This can all be a bit tricky to get used to, but online bookmaker sites usually have a built-in bet slip feature that calculates how much you stand to win on any bet before you place it. Very useful! With so many games taking place during the regular season, following all of the games *could* involve a lot of sitting around following dodgy streams on your laptop or desktop. OR, you could track some of the action using your smartphone and tablet from the comfort of your bed, down at the pub or wherever else you fancy.
Once you've had baseball betting explained and understand all (or most, at least!) of the rules of the game, it's really handy to be able to check the scores, place bets or scour the web for the freshest MLB betting tips. You can do just that using a baseball betting app, or a responsive mobile betting site, which the majority of online bookies in 2024 offer for Apple, Android, Windows Phone, etc.
An important part of how to bet on baseball games online is to have a good understanding of how teams and players will perform over the very long baseball season. We've put together some advice for newbies:
In terms of MLB betting tips, for how to bet on the World Series and individual games, you'll find these on any baseball betting app or online bookies, but you can check out our predictions here too.
It's safe to say that lots of British gamblers don't "get" baseball, and see it as a glorified game of rounders that takes way long to play out. For many of us, though, the excitement and tension of having real money on the line in a game that can be turned on its head is very alluring. Many Brits find themselves surprised by how much they enjoy online betting on baseball, and we think you owe it to yourself to see which category you fit into!

As well as regular season games (there are no more of these in 2024), you can also bet on tournaments such as the MLB World Series and College World Series.
For the most part, yes. But fraudulent/dishonest sites do appear sometimes, which is why we'd recommend that you stick with sites that we've tested and found to be safe.
It's very likely that any online bookies offering online betting on baseball will also have some type of bonus (most likely a % match) that British players can take advantage of.
From final score and total number of HRs (home runs) in a game all the way through to outright odds on the MLB World Series, baseball has no shortage of real cash bets available.
